LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV took control of a tight contest thanks to a 13-4 run that opened the fourth quarter and sparked the Lady Rebels to a 57-48 victory over New Mexico on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in Mountain West women’s basketball action from the Cox Pavilion. The Lady Rebels, who are now 9-2 at home, matched last year’s win total as they improved to 13-8 overall and are alone in fourth place in the league at 6-4. The win also evened the season series with the Lobos, who lost for the fifth straight time in the Cox Pavilion and dropped to 11-9, 4-5 in MW play.
It’s revenge for UNLV, who lost 67-53 to the Lobos Jan. 13 in Albuquerque.
