Participants in this workshop will learn and practice strategies for revising their work based on the style requirements of the journal of their choice. The presentation will cover the conventional parts of an academic journal article, including abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, materials & methods, results, discussion, conclusion), and participants will practice using a variety of strategies for keeping material organized as they revise.
The presentation portion of the workshop will take about 75 minutes, and writers may use the remaining 45 minutes to meet with Writing Center consultants for individual consultations about revision issues.
Participants who would like an individual consultation should bring two hard copies of up to five pages of something they would like to revise for publication and a copy of the journal’s submission and style requirements.
